Rated 1 out of 5 by from My son choked I honestly just thought it was my son and not the item but after reading all of the reviews I decided to add mine. He was chewing on it and managed to get a little piece off and he choked on it. He turned blue and stopped breathing. We swept his mouth and then turned him over and gave him back blows like we learned in infant cpr class. He vomited everywhere but started breathing again. It was honestly terrifying for everyone. It was a huge set back in his eating he seemed afraid to try to eat anything but a bottle for a very long time and in fact is still in therapy to try to get him eating. Needless to say I can't recommend this particular product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Choking hazard I bought these for my 11 month old daughter. She has teeth and successfully can feed herself, however, I still felt the need to break the wagon wheels into 4 smaller pieces. They do not dissolve like the other gerber crawler snacks and are very hard. After 1minute my daughter began to choke and turn blue. Thankfully my husband and I were right there and he was able to pull the pieces out however I did have to administer the Heimlich maneuver for one piece that was seriously lodged in her throat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Choking Issue We have been buying Gerber products and have nothing but the highest praises for them. This is the first experience where the product is a potential choking hazard even for an older Toddler with multiple teeth. Our toddler is 16.5 months and eats like a champ. The puffs dissolve in the mouth but these wagon wheels do not. I even broke the piece into fours and she started to choke on that small piece. We purchased three containers but will not be giving her this any longer. Before trying one of your products, I will go on line to see if there is any potential concerns. My concern is that with so many complaints on your website, why is this product still on the shelves as it can potentially be fatal. Not a good choice here.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My first disappointment in Gerber. I bought these for my son today, and I always try everything that goes in his mouth before he does. Our wagon wheels seemed to be on the verge of stale, really hard, and they didn't dissolve quickly enough for this momma. I gave my son one (he is 9 months old) and he immediately shoved the whole thing in his mouth. I did the same and it was a lot for MY grown adult mouth. I watched him attempt to chew it and almost immediately he started to gag. I'm sure a chinch went down his throat without meaning for it go to there. :( We will stick to the pulls from now on. I'll eat the wheels. :/

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Babies choke on these I have been using Gerber for everything from water to snacks to purees. This is the first disappointment in Gerber and I now question the brand. My son at 10 months does well with snacks but the wheel is not big enough to stop them from putting the whole thing in the mouth, but too big to be a finger snack for 8+ months as advertised. My son shoved the whole hing in his mouth and choked on the wheel, which does not melt. He turned blue in the face and I had to dig it out using 2 fingers. Babies don't know any better especially if they are used to putting the puffs and other smaller meltable snacks in their mouth. This product needs to be removed from the Gerber line. I cant believe it. I could have lost my son.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Choking hazard. Canister states easy to chew and swallow. I buy several other gerber graduates snacks and haven't had a problem. however my crawler chokes when trying to eat the wagon wheels. maybe the size or the shape is the issue. I know she likes the flavor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Potential choking hazard Bought these when my 9 month old started teething thinking it'd be a harder yet dissolvable snack so he'd get some nutrition but still feel good on his gums. He seems to love the taste (Apple Harvest) but if he manages to grab one whole he shoves the whole thing in his mouth then can't chew. They're fine if I break them in half or thirds but whole is a horrible idea. If the intent is for babies to chew on them whole then they need to be larger or half the size so they won't be as much of a choking risk.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for babies! My daughter is almost 9 months old and she self feeds, has no problem with the puffs and basic table food. These do not dissolve fast enough, and promoting that they are for 8+ I feel is misleading. These should say they are for 12+ when children are more prone to biting off pieces instead of shoving the whole wheel in their mouth and choking which is exactly what my daughter did. The least y’all could do is make them larger so that it’s not the perfect size to fit the whole thing in a babies mouth.
